ABOUT THE CHEF
Nathan George
Nathan George is the passionate and dedicated Head Chef at The Orchard Bar and Grill, bringing years of culinary experience to the table. His career began with an apprenticeship at Tuscany Wine Estate, a fine dining restaurant in the Hunter Valley, before he moved on to work at other venues such as the Hunter Valley Resort and Ridgeview in the Hunter Valley.
He then worked on the Central Coast, where he helped to open a 300-seat buffet at Diggers at the Entrance as the 2IC to the executive chef. Nathan then moved to Melbourne and worked in the café trade before opening Little Odessa in Fitzroy as the head chef. He then joined the hotel industry at The Farmacy at the Larwill, an art series hotel in Parkville, before finally becoming part of the Sebel team.
Nathan's passion for creating delicious meals is evident in his focus on showcasing modern Australian cuisine with a rustic twist and a hint of Japanese influence. He has now found his element, offering a bar and grill format for Melbourne and the Yarra Valley fringe to experience. With plans to expand into wine dinners and curated special dining events, Nathan's vision is to embrace a diverse audience and provide a welcoming and refined dining experience.
